At Burnt Norton, using organic flour, all baked items are made by hand on the premises. We are one shop.  We make sweet and savoury scrolls. It all started with a desire to learn how to bake. We then started making cinnamon buns. From there we went to cardamom and then to almond, and just kept going. The process is relatively simple. Allowing fermentation time and the use of natural ingredients and our imagination we ended up with a range of sweet scrolls from chocolate and hazelnut to coconut and raspberry. We then applied the same creative process to produce savoury scrolls. We started with ham and cheese [meat from the nice people at hook and cleaver], moving on to a leek and cheddar scroll then carried on experimenting until we had a full range. Kale and Parmesan has been a recent favourite.
